ahhh, finally i have returned from my silence. have ya’ll been wondering where i have been? well there was a ton of preparation work that i had to do for the art festival…. so basically i had to spend every nite working on the sketch, it was a lot to color. so you ask how the art competition went do you?! well first off, the overall consensus of team ‘i love pugs’ is that we had a blast hanging out together all day! no better company around ok, that being said this year’s competition was a little bit, hmmm what’s the word i want…. disappointing i guess… you see the first problem was that the location was moved from the smooth buttery surface of the ice rink to an actual back alley road in the city. that caused a horrible surface for us to draw on and it didnt allow us to put in as much exquiste detail as we like and are known for, so that as stinkie! another problem…related to stinkie was our square was right next to the sewer cover…also not very coo at all…and not only that there were hobo’s also known as bums, whichever you prefer… constantly walkin about asking for money and making us worry our stuff was going to get stollen. oh and the final prob was that participation was low since they charged an entry fee. i didnt mind paying the fee at all, but it was sad to see the participation cut down so vastly from last year…so many talented artists that i missed this year. so yeh,  that is all that was really wrong, and that is mostly minor…except for the surface, which you will see in the pictures. as far as everything else goes…it was a beautiful day out for the festival, we had tons of fun being creative and getting super messy…which is one of the best parts!!! sooo now i will post some pictures for you of the art festival…if you are enjoying the pix, please click on them to be taken to even more pictures! let me know what you think, i love the feedback! even better news for all ou fans out there… i have a new item to post for auction…and guess what it is christmas themed…ok yes i am slightly early for the specific holiday, but it is my favorite…so i will tell you what u have to look forward to tomorrow…i will be posting a cute mini angel-clause. i actually had a really cute great idea of making like a 2 ft table christmas tree with these cute little mini angel-clauses. i think it would be adorable…also great news for you…if you would like a specific color of my cute lil angel-clause…as far as his lil gown or eyes or anything just hit the contact me button and shoot me an email of what you would like…also if your interested in doing the little table christmas tree idea (i.e. you want a large amount of my cutie-patootie santas) let me know and i will cut you an awesome deal for buying in bulk. and remember, as always each one is hand crafted by me, so they will each have their own unique characteristics. my favorite about the one up for auction tomorrow is probably the special glitter i used to embelish the wings…very cute…super excited hehehe, when aren’t i?!?!! well anyways expect daily updates again like before the art competiton as well as lots more items in my store for sale. and like i said, don’t hesitate to contact me if you like something and want it customized or if you have your own idea that you would like to see come alive via my artistic style!!!! love you all and can’t wait to hear from you soon. keep the feedback coming, it is great!!!!

sooo the team ‘i love pugs’ has been hard at work in the past few days. we have been busting our butts in preparation. the resident sketcher has spent approximately a solid week and a half critiquing and refining each character for the big day. many renditions and edits have been made and i must say we have a killer sketch of our scene and its gonna be redonk awesome!!!! it is top secret as i mentioned, but i am making sure to document each step, so i will be posting the sketches of each individual character as well as the full scene sketch. i am one of the resident color-ers (we have 2) there is a lot to color in 64 square feet ya know! i will be working on getting all the colors just perfect so that we will not have to do any thinking on game day…just pure art enjoyment. wahooo. soo as i mentioned it is top secret, but i will at least give you this little nugget to entice your interest. the scene that we will be depicting is a cartoonish midevil scene. very colorful, full of humor, very coo. gotta hand it to the sketcher this year, its gonna be soo coo. i cant wait to show everyone here and get some feedback.

ok, so yes this is a blog about polymer clay sculpting and as apparent…also loving animals and specifically pugs. you may have noticed i have been a slacker in the sculpture creation area…well i promise i will get on it in just a week or so. i have responsibilities to team ‘i love pugs’ to get everything preped for the street painting festival. it takes tons of pre-planning and sketching, coloring, and decision making, so as soon as that is done i will be devoting all my time back to the creation of critter creatures. in the mean time though, i am chilling here with my pugs and thinking about how sweet they are as i lay on mr.butters as a pillow and he gives me a kiss or two…that i decided to dedicate a post to the best things about them.

well folks that concludes my puggie top 10..seriously if you dont have a pug i strongly suggest you invest in one. it is the best investment you could ever make for yourself. did i mention they come in a variety of colors and they have quite a size range as well. hehehehe serial tho, pugs are redonk awesome!!!!! hang out w/ one sometime. i dare you!!!!

soo…here it is the moment that changed my life…..well at least my life today! so i was sitting at my desk nerdin it up thinkin all science-ie and stuff when it dawned on me as i read a comment from one of my lovely readers… it was asking more about who created crazy critters….and there it was!!! staring me plain in the face….the name to my product line…. i will be callin my line crazy critters! sometimes i really wonder where my head is and if it is really working. i mean, serial, i have had this blog for over a month now and it just now dawned on me?!?!! i mean DUH what an idiot i am. anyways i am super pumped about having a name for the product line…ught ohh…here it comes…..WOOT WOOT!!!! anyways that has just totally made my day that i have come up w/ the name for the line…it doesnt get any better than that…now if only i could think of names for my critter creatures i would be all set….ahhh one step at a time…but i am making fabulous headway at least i feel like it today.
